Love has no age, but maybe it does have a bank account. That is what many might think when hearing the story of the Argentine model Elina Fernández Fantacci, who married businessman Eduardo Costantini with an age difference of 43 years. True love or monetary interest? According to them, true love.

The story of how they met is romantic, if a bit soggy. Elina was stranded in a bar due to the rain, and Eduardo arrived to save the day. After hours of conversation, the crush was instant. If this were a romantic movie, we might think it was fate. If this were a horror movie, we might think it was a trap.

Elina confesses that she has always had a taste for older and more mature men, which could be seen as some kind of fetish. But let’s not be quick to judge her; perhaps she just prefers someone with experience and wisdom. Although that doesn’t quite explain why she changed her last name so quickly after they got married.

I could never be with a young person, my age or middle age, because I like older people. They are mature people with experience, so I could not imagine marrying someone 50 years old because I would see him very young. My friends are great. All my life, I was like this, and Eduardo is perfect.

How can someone fall in love with someone 43 years apart? We assume that conversations about “the good old days” and life experiences are popular topics. It could also be argued that the fact that Elina is a successful and world-renowned model helps in the relationship since she has her own success and is not financially dependent on Eduardo. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that Eduardo is one of the richest men in Argentina.

What is most surprising about this story is that the model is not interested in Eduardo’s money. According to her, money is just a means to pay expenses, and she doesn’t see it as a burden. Whether that is the right attitude or not depends on each person. But at least it’s not like the other stories where couples marry for money and end up in an accusation-filled divorce.

What is evident is that this couple is happy together, and they seem to have a healthy and genuine relationship. And at the end of the day, that’s what matters. If both of you are happy with your choice, then that’s what counts.

But perhaps we should take this as a sign that there is always hope for finding true love, no matter what age or bank account we have. So, if you’re single and looking for love, maybe you should start looking at your local nursing home. Who knows? Maybe you will find your own Elina or Eduardo. Or maybe you’ll just find a good story to tell at parties.
