Surely some of you exercise at home. This can be great for clearing your head and keeping fit. After all, it’s not enough to move for a few minutes a day and keep in shape. But those who have pets know that it is not always easy—far from it! Videos with this Golden Retriever are now cult. No wonder, because when Bailey shows up, it’s always a big moment. This pooch has lots of crazy and creative ideas, like in this video, which is currently inspiring people all over the world.
It doesn’t look like anything special at first glance: gym mats are spread out in front of the couch at home, and a woman in workout gear is already waiting. Bailey lies quite carefree in front. But then his handler in sportswear arrives, and as he moves to position himself on the mat to begin with, a bright idea seems to go through the golden retriever’s head. Suddenly, Bailey is wide awake and wants to join the gym session! With enthusiasm, he hops in front, over, and behind the master and mistress and shows what he can do. Bailey invents a lot of exercises and obviously reinterprets some that he knows from humans. Hilarious!

It seems, however, that a main element of their training regimen is actually a battle of wills. But when, out of sheer desperation, the master goes looking for a third gym mat at some point, so that at least everyone has their own, Bailey goes one step further. Although intended, perhaps, to be an instructional video, the purpose failed. Exercise has never been so adorable! And in the end, one thing is clear: watch the video because you are also training your muscles correctly—the muscles of laughter.
Sure, at first glance, the dog doesn’t seem like the perfect exercise companion, but in the end, they’re probably getting even more exercise than they would without it.
