Some dilapidated or abandoned places are so much a part of the landscape that we no longer pay attention to them until the artist Wild Drawing, better known as WD, transposes his overflowing imagination there and creates magnificent murals in optical illusion.

Everything he touches turns into art, and that’s nothing to say! It was not until the early 2000s that the creative from Bali became interested in street art during his studies at the school of fine arts. Politically committed to student rights, he used to create protest banners but quickly realized that graffiti could have an even bigger impact.

A few years later, he moved to Athens, Greece, where he flooded the city with his sumptuous anamorphic frescoes that literally gave the impression of emerging from the scenery on which they were painted.

Each of his creations is a real journey and a pleasure for the eyes of tourists from all over the world. He manages to breathe new life into simple facades or blocks of stone with gigantic, original and colorful 3D designs.

We let you discover below a small selection of the most beautiful before/after of Wild Drawing. To find out more, you can visit his Instagram account.

And if you appreciate street art and in particular 3D works, the trompe-l’oeil 3D effect frescoes by the artist Kurt Wenner but also those by the French street artist Scaf are a real treat for the eyes.
